Creating employment type based reports to analyze resources
You can create reports to analyze the number of resources and resource allocation based on employment type. The reports help Resource Managers identify under allocated employees and contractors, and enable them to realign resources to ensure optimal utilization.
Perform the following steps in the Resource Management dashboard that you have created as part of the Creating KPIs for Resource Management task:
- Click the
icon from the toolbar to insert a blank visualization.Tip: To change the position of the visualization, drag the visualization title bar and place it in the required position.
- Select the blank visualization and click the Pie Chart visualization type.
- Perform the following steps from the DATASETS panel:
- Drag the Employment Type attribute into the Color By field of the Editor panel.
- Drag the Employment Type attribute into the Slice By field of the Editor panel.
- Drag the No. of Resources metric into the Angle field of the Editor panel.
- Drag the Resource Allocated Cost metric into the Tooltip field of the Editor panel.
- Click the
icon in the visualization title bar and select Change Shape > Ring.
- Perform step 1 to insert a blank visualization and place it in the required position.
- Select the blank visualization and click the Bar Chart visualization type.
- Perform the following steps from the DATASETS panel:
- Drag the Employment Type attribute into the Horizontal field of the Editor panel.
- Drag the Employment Type attribute into the Color By field of the Editor panel.
- Drag the Resource Allocation % metric into the Vertical field of the Editor panel.
Tip: To rename the visualization title, click the
icon in the visualization title bar and then click Rename.
The reports related to resource count and allocation based on Employment Type are displayed with the corresponding values.
